PREPT builds capacity for a coordinated countywide response to medical and health emergencies. We work with local, state, and regional partners to develop plans to protect the health of the public during emergencies that arise from natural causes, like earthquakes, fires, or infectious disease outbreaks, or man-made threats, such as bioterrorism.
Coalition for Health and Medical Preparedness of Santa Cruz (CHAMPS)
CHAMPS is a collaboration of private and public partners who work together to help Santa Cruz County prepare for, respond to, and recover from medical and health emergencies. Through collaborative planning, training, exercises, and coordination of resources, the CHAMPS leads a countywide effort to support and enable a disaster-resilient healthcare system.
